Musée des Arts et Métiers (Museum of Arts and Crafts)

Free tickets for the visit of Musée des Arts et Métiers will be available (upon request) at the EuroSys 2010 registration desk. Since the creation of the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers (National Conservatory of Arts and Industry) in 1794 by abbot Grégoire, the collections were regularly enriched by private and public gifts, bequests, acquisitions, etc. The collection is today one of the richest in the world in the field of sciences and technology. A visit to this museum will provide conference participants the opportunity to discover some of the museum's permanent collections on display.

Tickets are valid for 360 days, therefore EuroSys 2010 delegates can enjoy a visit to the museum on their own just after the conference sessions on Thursday, April 15 or after the end of the conference (for example, on Friday afternoon or during the weekend). We plan to organize a guided tour (in English) on April 15 from 17:45 to 19:15. If you are interested in this guided tour, please contact us at cnammuseum-visit@eurosys2010.sigops-france.fr asap and no later than Wednesday, April 14 at 16:00 for registration.

Please note that, if you plan to attend the dinner cruise after the museum visit, you will have to go directly to Bir Hakeim bridge to board the Capitaine Fracasse boat (by public transportation metro/RER, the trip from CNAM takes about 35 minutes).
